This renewal course teaches lifesaving skills for adults, children, and infants. The program requires a current (unexpired) Alberta workplace approved first aid certificate to meet the prerequisites. Certification meets CSA Z1210 First Aid Training Standards and is valid for 3 years in Alberta.

About the Event
This prerequisite for this course is providing a current (unexpired) Alberta approved workplace first aid certificate to be eligible for this renwal program. Participants can submit a copy of their existing certificate HERE.
Certification Requirements and Learning Support
All learners must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to meet Alberta Occupational Health and Safety requirements for workplace first aid. Certification requires attendance, participation, competency and a written skills test - no exceptions! To help learners prepare and demonstrate the necessary skills and knowledge, this course includes physical skills practice, realistic emergency scenarios, and discussions/skills practice that some may find physically or emotionally challenging. If you have concerns about participating due to a medical condition, past trauma, or learning need, please reach out to us before the start of your program so we can discuss the options available to make your learning experience positive, comfortable and successful.

Intermediate First Aid Recert
The course will take place at our public training centre in the Leduc City Centre Mall (#14, 5201 50 Street, Leduc, AB, inside the mall across from Rexall Drugstore). Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water (hot and cold) will be available throughout your course as well as you are welcome to use our microwave and fridge should you require them. Please wear comfortable clothing and arrive 5 - 10 minutes before the start of your in person session.
